Think rice is boring? This is a great, simple recipe to jaz up rice and make a meal out of it.
Firstly, finely chop the onion and garlic and saute for 5 minutes in some oil. Now add the rice, turmeric, cumin, oregano, oxo cube and 250ml of water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 15 minutes.
(if you're vegetarian ignore this part) Whilst simmering, fry the chicken and slice, then slice the chorizo sausage. Add the chicken and chorizo to the rice 3-4 minutes before it's cooked then serve.
Simple!
