Bet you’ve never heard of this one before!
Our Christmas Turkey Burger is an entire Christmas dinner packed into a bun, helping you get into the festive spirit. And best of all, it contains hardly any fat! Firstly, peel and chop the potatoes and boil for 4 minutes. Drain, then cook in a pre-heated roasting tray (with a little oil) on 200c for 40 minutes (turn over potatoes half way through cooking). Now prepare the stuffing according to instructions on the packaging (so you have enough for 4) then put in the oven. While the potatoes and stuffing are cooking, prepare the Turkey Burgers by thoroughly mixing together the Turkey Mince, Chopped Garlic, Chilli Powder, Chopped Onion, Worcester Sauce and Egg. Separate the mixture into 4-8 portions, then, compact the mixture into burgers (use a burger press if possible). Then set aside in the fridge. Remember, the thicker they are, the longer they will take to cook. 15 minutes before your Potatoes and Stuffing are ready, either oven cook the bacon and turkey burgers or slowly fry/grill them if you’re limited for space. Turn frequently. Finally, peel the Brussels and boil for 10 minutes. Prepare the Bread Buns by buttering them with Cranberry Sauce. When everything is ready, layer your burger with mashed Brussels, Turkey Burger, x2 Rashers of Bacon and a layer of Stuffing and serve with your Roast Potatoes. Hey Presto – Have yourself a Merry Christmas! |
